Since this is, first of all, a mastering facility, all cabling is of the highest quality with the shortest possible signal paths. The studio operates on one filtered and isolated circuit. All digital equipment is further protected by high-quality UPS. Every inch of the mastering lab is custom designed to create the highest quality audio product.
Primary monitoring for mastering is with highly-tuned bi-amped Tannoy PBM 8s with the PS110B Studio Powered Subwoofer and crossover, insuring accurate reproduction of the full audible spectrum. Secondary monitoring is via DBX speaker/subwoofer and Auratone systems with instant switching between primaries and secondaries. Two high-quality computer-based sound systems and boom-boxes are available for reference.
Master recordist/engineer with Golden Earstm training and 30 years experience in mastering, recording, mixing, and sound reinforcement as well as 30+ years of solo and ensemble acoustic musicianship and hands-on building and repair of new and vintage instruments. Manley and Langevin outboard analog processing through a suite of Nuendo 2 and WaveLab Professional with over a terrabyte of combined storage.

32-bit float mastering via WaveLab 4.0 with full compliment of 24 - 48 bit, 44.1 - 96 kHz plug-ins. Over a terrabyte of storage available. Your entire project or session may be backed up to any EIDE drive, via removable drive bay, to CD-R, or to DVD-R, depending on your needs.
All dithering compliments of Apogee's UV22 HR process, enabling the highest quality 16-bit Red Book compliant CD-R premasters. (several other high quality dithering processors are available as well)
DAT, ADAT, CD-R, or standard cassette with Dolby C noise reduction acceptable when receiving mixes for mastering (arrangements will be made to accept other formats upon request). ProTools and other DAWs of similar quality create exceptional results when mixes are saved as 24 or 32 bit float .WAV files which are sent to the mastering facility on CD-R.
ASC has an FTP site large enough to transfer two or three five minute 24 bit songs on the internet. As soon as there is demand to transfer full-length albums over the net, we will upgrade to the appropriate bandwidth.
Vinyl restoration with state-of-the-art hiss, click, and noise reduction is available.

Video accepted on mini-DV for editing on Final Cut Pro via Mac. Four drives with a total of 140 gigabytes are available for video editing.
Complete 5 piece studio trap kit/various drums and percussion available.
